- Note 22 applies. The government intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with HK Systems for replacement of horizontal rangefinders in the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) manufactured by HK Systems located at the Defense Visual Information Center (DVIC)at March ARB, CA. Existing rangefinders are no longer covered by technical support or service. New rangefinders must be installed and made compatible with Programmable Logic Controller software. The highly specialized nature of the customized ASRS hardware and software to perform visual information-specific tasks requires that HK Systems perform this work.
