- MODIFICATION NO. 01 - THIS SOLICITATION IS HEREBY CANCELLED DUE TO AN ADMINISTRATIVE ERROR. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS SOLICITATION. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials necessary be provided to renovate two laboratories and offices at the USDA, ARS, U.S. Plant Soil and Nutrition Laboratory's Plant Science Building on the Cornell campus in Ithaca, New York. The work includes, but is not limited to, laboratory upgrades, wall removal, door or doorway installation, furnish and install casework, painting and refinishing of casework, installation of new lab bench tops, painting of the area, and converting one office to a laboratory with new casework, cabinets and utilities in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings contained in the Solicitation. The estimated cost of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. This project must be completed within 60 days of receipt of the notice to proceed. Solicitation Number 05-3615-04 is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-22. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS is 236220, with a size standard of $28.5 million. The solicitation and other documents (except the drawings and specifications) related to this procurement will be available electronically at the Internet site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their copy of the documents and for monitoring the website for release of amendments (if any) and any other related documents. Only one site visit will be scheduled as identified in the solicitation. Potential offeror's are required to provide the following mandatory information: Company name, contact name, street mailing address, telephone and fax numbers to establish a bidder's mailing list and to receive one (free) copy of the drawings and specifications. Requests for the above information or to receive a copy of the bidder's mailing list may be faxed to the POC by reference the solicitation number and the project title. REQUESTS FOR THE RFQ SENT BY E-MAIL ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. Solicitation No. 05-3615-04 contains the specifications, drawings and further information and will be available on or about May 21, 2004.
