- Description
- The United States Coast Guard?s (USCG) Headquarters (HQ) Office of Contract Support (OCS) ? Major Systems Information Technology Acquisitions, intends to solicit offers via a Request for Proposals (RFP) under FAR Part 15 ? Contracting By Negotiation for a Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) Antenna Tuning Unit (ATU) design study and ATUs, for the USCG Command and Control Engineering (C2CEN) Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. DGPS is an enhancement of the U.S. Department of Defense?s (DoD) Global Positioning System (GPS) that is intended to improve navigation safety under all weather conditions. Contractor tasks shall include design, development and delivery of a DGPS ATU, subsequent testing, maintenance, documentation, and training in the use of the device, as well as additional DGPS ATUs, as indicated: The maximum quantity of ATUs for the base year is estimated to be 10; for option year 1 the maximum quantity of ATUs is estimated to be 93; and for option year 2 the maximum quantity of ATUs is estimated to be 60. The Government intends to award an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for one, twelve-month base year and two, twelve-month option years.
