Description
This Request for Proposals consists of conducting archeological mitigation of adverse effect on two archeological sites in Morton County, North Dakota. The contractor shall conduct an in-depth file and records search of any data concerning the project area. The contractor shall incorporate new information into the research design, identify areas of the research design which may note be addressed due to lack of potential data, and present results of file search The contractor must possess relevant experience of archeological and other historic preservation tasks in the state of North Dakota, knowledge of archeological and historic preservation standards and regulatory requirements, and be capable of providing and managing equipment, and facilities. Services may include archeological inventory survey, archeological monitoring, archeological subsurface testing, specialized analyses of archeological materials, preparation of National Register of Historic Places registration forms, inventory survey, and traditional use and oral history studies. Required expertise may include, but would not be limited to, the following disciplines: archeology; cultural anthropology; history; federal historic preservation law and regulations; cultural resources management, technical writing, editing and illustration and CAD/GIS. The contractor shall furnish the necessary labor, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, supervision coordination and management necessary to provide the required services. The Government will consider an offeror's capability (technical expertise and past performance), in comparison to the offered price, with price being equal in importance to the offeror's capability. The contractor must obtain and retain a permit granted by the State Historical Society of North Dakota to conduct Archeological Excavation in North Dakota. The request for proposals will be available on or about July 2, 2003, and will be available solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website.
