Description

The purpose of this modification is to change the anticipated issue date of the solicitation from 5/10/2004 to 6/2/2004. Convert Logging Road to Paved Hiking Trail at Berry Glen, Redwood National Park, Humboldt County, California, located immediately adjacent to U.S. Highway 101 a short distance north of the town of Orick. The work of the contract will consist of asphalt trail construction utilizing an existing logging road and shall include, but not be limited to, removal of existing culverts, installation of new culverts, excavation and establishment of ditches, roadbed filling, road base establishment, paving, finish grading, and mulching. The NAICS code for this project is 237310, and the size standard is $28.5 million (average gross revenue for the last three (3) years). Estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. This project will be awarded under a single firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance will be 60 calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed. This solicitation will be awarded under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and competition will be unrestricted (open to both small and large business) pursuant to Public Law 100-656. The solicitation package will be issued on or about June 2, 2004 and the response time shall be approximately 30 days.
