- With this announcement, the Corps of Engineers-Chicago District issues a Pre-solicitation Notice for its Landscaping Phase II, Little Calumet River, Indiana project. The work will consist of landscaping, maintaining approximately 28,000 Linear Feet o f existing levees, planting approximately 830 trees and shrubs, and seeding of 100 acres with Native Grasses and Forbes. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561730 and is restricted to Small business size. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a firm-fixed-price service contract. The Invitation for Bids will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Minimum system requirements are a 486 based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater and 4 MB application RAM, 4MB hard disk space and compact disk drive. Interested Bidders can download the Invitation for Bid Package from Internet Site http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/ebs by clicking on the appropriate solicitation number. The solicitation will be available at the above-mentioned Internet site on or about 19 May 2004. The due date for bids w ill be on or about 17 June 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Chicago local time.
