- Description
- The U.S. Department of Education (ED), Federal Student Aid (FSA) is conducting a competitive procurement for a Front End Business Integration (FEBI) solution which will simplify and integrate the service delivery to students and its client population in applications processing, common origination and disbursement, customer service and shared services such as printing. ED is conducting the procurement competitively using a two-phase procedure, in accordance with applicable Federal procurement laws and regulations and Federal Student Aid's procurement flexibility statute (20 U.S.C. 1018a(d)). ED completed the Phase I review. Offerors selected in Phase I are: Accenture LLP and Pearson Government Solutions. Due Diligence meetings will be held with Accenture LLP and Pearson Government Solutions during the period May 10 though May 18, 2004. Proposals will only be accepted from Accenture LLP and Pearson Government Solutions for Phase II. However, others are encouraged to contact the two prime contract offerors about subcontracting opportunities. Small businesses are especially encouraged to contact the two prime contract offerors. Contact information for both of the prime contract offerors is provided in an attachment. A draft Phase II Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on May 7, 2004. Comments on the draft Phase II RFP are due at 12:00 Noon (Washington, DC time) on May 19, 2004. All questions or comments should be emailed to FEBI.competition@ed.gov.
