- 17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ4051 and is being issued as a Request for Quote. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-23. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a small business concern. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339111, which has a business size standard of 500. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure a Detector. The following instrument and products may be acquired under this acquisition: Item/Description/ Quantity: (1) DNA Engine Chassis, qty-3, (2) Chromo 4 Detector, qty-1, (3) Chromo 4 Detection Module 4 color, qty-1, (4) Alpha Engine, Chromo 4, qty-1, (5) Tube, Lo-Profile, 8/strip, White, qty-1, (6) Caps, Flat 8/Strip Ultra Clear, qty-1, (7) Hs DyNAmo SYBR Kit, 200RXNS, qty-1, (8) Hard Shell 96, WHT/WHT 50/box, qty ?1, (9) Alpha Engine, 48/48 Dual, qty-1. Our current research requires a continuous fluorescence detection system that utilizes a Peltier thermal Cycler with multi-sensor/multi-zone temperature control technology, thermal accuracy of 0.3C, well-to-well uniformity of 0.4C, accommodating 96 samples, in plate or strip tube format, with optional programming of a thermal gradient of up to 24C, across the 96-well sample block, yielding less than 0.4C variation from the predicted temperature. The Installation, warranty, and a one-year technical service to be provided by factory qualified engineers on a no charge basis. Thermal Cyclers to come with a standard 2-year parts and labor warranty. The Opticon accessory, computer and monitor to come with a 1-year warranty. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) price, 2) warranty, and 3) technical capability to meet required specifications. Place of delivery NIH/NIAID, Rockville, Maryland, 20852. The government will award a fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor.
