- This commercial item solicitation is for the purchase and installation of split unit heat pumps for buildings 760-G and 760-1G in the Forest Service Administrative site located on the Department of Energy?s Savannah River Site (SRS) outside Aiken. The contractor shall remove existing heat pumps and replace/install split heat pump systems in accordance with the replacement schedule and statement of work in the following quantities for the sizes noted. 14 each - ? ton, 9 each -1 ton, 3 each -1 ? ton, and 1 each ? 1 ton. The size standard is 100 employees. Solicitation should be available on this web site no later than 7 May 2004. There will be a site visit held. Details will be included in the solicitation. SRS is a restricted access Government facility. A minimum of 72 hours is required to process any security badge requests for U.S. Citizens and up to 30 days could be required for non-U.S. citizens. Contractors should pay close attention to the deadlines to submit information required to gain access for site visit included in the solicitation. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration as prescribed by FAR 204-7. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation.
