- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and materials, transportation, and incidentals for door improvements at eight sites on the Cherokee National Forest, in accordance with the Specifications, Terms, and Conditions. Sites include Nolichucky Work Center and Little Oak, Backbone, Dennis Cove, French Broad, Houston Valley, Horse Creek, and Old Forge Recreation Areas. Work includes replacements of existing doors and frames with 21 new metal doors, 18 new metal frames, and associated hardware and painting. Work also includes adjustments and hardware items for other selected doors. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: $25,000 - $100,000 PROJECT LOCATION: Eight separate recreation sites as described above, located on the Watauga and Nolichucky/Unaka Ranger Districts in Carter, Cooke, Greene, and Sullivan Counties, TN. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation, RFQ 04-04-22, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOps as a Request for Quotation and will be available for downloading on or about May 14, 2004 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov A Pre-Bid visit date will be included in the solicitation. All vendors will be required to register in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ A handbook and other information are available at the site, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process.
