- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY - THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PRICE PROPOSALS. The U.S. General Services Administration announces an opportunity to qualified Window Contractors for a Window Replacement Project at the IRS Federal Building in Greensboro, NC. The contractor shall provide all paint, labor, tools, equipment, appliances and material to remove, and replace all exterior windows, including window frames with new Storefront Aluminum Framing and Window systems at the IRS Federal Building in Greensboro, NC. The work shall include the removal of window treatments as necessary to replace all existing windows and frames. Work shall consist of the removal and disposal of all existing windows, including frames, hardware, and all associated devices. New work shall include the contractor to provide and install all new aluminum replacement windows. The contractor shall test and leak check new windows for satisfactory operation. All work required for the removal of old windows/frames, and installation of the new replacement windows shall be coordinated with the U.S. General Services Administration. All work shall be in strict accordance with the specifications and in compliance with all state and local codes and regulations. The facility will be occupied throughout the project. Project completion is approximately 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Work may be performed during or after normal Government working hours. Work shall be scheduled in advance with GSA in order to arrange access. The estimated cost range for this project is between $500,000.00 and $700,000.00. Contractors must provide sixty-days (60) calendar days for government acceptance after offers are due. After the contract has been awarded and prior to the Notice to Proceed, the contractor who was awarded the project will completely install one complete window unit at the loading dock area for review and approval by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The applicable NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $27.5 million. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be scheduled to answer questions that offerors may have concerning the scope of work and requirements. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is May 21, 2004.
