- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for a Set of LET Cofferdams and Skirts to be constructed with HS Steel per drawing numbers M-1202, M-1203 and M-1204. Cofferdams to be installed on SSBN Trident Class Submarines on the Forward, Mid and Aft Escape Trunks. A copy of the drawings will be mailed upon request. The cofferdams to be approximately 112? Diameter and 92? high. After award, the contractor shall provide certificates of completion as proof that load tests have been performed as specified in drawing numbers M-1202, M-1203, M-1204. In addition, a set of 25 safety nets to be constructed per drawing number M-1169. Safety nets will be utilized to facilitate maintenance efforts on SSBN Trident class platform. The Safety Nets will be approximately 7? in Diameter and constructed with nylon webbing with an aluminum exterior support ring. After award, the contractor shall provide a certificate of completion as proof that load tests have been performed as specified in drawing number M-1169. THE GOVERNMENT ANTICIPATES THAT FINAL NEGOTIATED PRICING WILL BE THROUGH A REVERSE AUCTION. A reverse auction is a competitive anonymous, on-line auction in which participants will submit and compete for an award for this requirement through a series of quotes that descend in price during a specific period of time. Place of delivery is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. Delivery required on or before 01 September 2004. The 100% small business set-aside commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 10 May 2004 with a closing date of 10 June 2004. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to glenn.labarge@navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 10 May 2004. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Offerors should, though, submit an email request for the referenced drawings to the above mentioned email address. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote non-responsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
