Description

The 11th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for a contractor to Repair Exterior Entrances at Facility 5681 at Bolling AFB DC. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, transportation, supervision and other services necessary to complete all associated work. The project consists of performing new work and completing necessary repairs to complete all work to include: mobilization, demolition, and all general conditions and incidental requirements. Provide necessary selective demolition of existing pavement, sidewalks, signs, trees, light poles, concrete sidewalks and the removal of the existing concrete pavement. Provide site grading including earthwork, site excavation, backfill, subgrade preparation and compaction. Provide site paving including concrete pavement, aggregate base, and concrete walks and ramps. Provide drainage utilities including all associated storm water piping and structures. Provide necessary site improvements including concrete masonry retaining wall with stone cap, cast in place concrete stairs, ADA compliant handrails and railings, and bollard. Remove and replace all curtain wall joints and associated accessories. Remove and replace entrance vestibule including automatic swing doors and hardware, door actuators, storefront glazing, finishes and accessories. Provide exterior building lighting improvements including all fixtures, ballasts, enclosures, conduits and conductors. Provide for the excavation and removal of unsuitable soils and the installation of backfill to replace same. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the magnitude of this requirement on terms of physical characteristics and estimated range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification System code is 233320 with the size standard being $28.5 million. The period of performance for this requirement is 100 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This is a competitive best-value solicitation in which competing offerors? past and present performance history and technical is more important than price. This procurement is 100% SET-ASIDE FOR CERTIFIED HUB Zone CONTRACTORS. This solicitation and specifications will be distributed solely on the World Wide Web at the following address beginning on or after 15 May 2004: http://www.eps.gov. Prospective offerors will be asked to register for this solicitation at the above referenced web site. All prospective offerors are responsible to visit the FedBizzOpps web site frequently and obtain any amendments or other information pertinent to this RFP. Also, each prospective offeror interested in submitting a proposal on this RFP must register by e-mail to: maria.kersey@bolling.af.mil in order to be placed on the source list and receive the project drawings which will be mailed to all registered offerors. Include company name, address, telephone/fax numbers point-of-contact and e-mail address. Offerors registering on the source list shall not conclude that they will receive a paper copy of the RFP, as no paper copies will be issued. Closing date of this solicitation will be 14 June 2004. NO PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE MAILED.
