- NOTE: All responses to this RFQ will be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 5555 E. Crossroads Blvd., Loveland, CO. 80538 8986, Attn: Frances Gutierrez. The Western Area Power Administration intends to acquire on a sole source contract Data Acquisition (DAC) Upgrade and GENS SCADA System under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 41 USC 253 (c)(1) the only known source of supply. The award is to supply Data Acquisition Upgrade for GENS SCADA System as follows: Two cabinets wired for 64 channels, 8 switch chassis, 16 power supplies, 8 RJ45 panels; One cabinet wired for 64 channels, 0 switches, 0 switch chassis, 16 power supplies and 8 RJ45 panels; IBM DAC Factory Intergration, Testing and Documentation; Installation and Support; 3 each of the System Base Standard Software Licenses (3 nodes). Western believes that GE Energy Management Services, Inc. is the only know source that has the proprietary hardware/software to provide the DAC and GENS SCADA System upgrades and support. This notice is not a request for quote. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to satisfy the Government's requirement by faxing to 970 461-7377, enough technical information documenting the products capabilities for evaluation. Any information received will be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. If no responses are received 5 calendar days after this notice is published, Western will pursue a sole source contract with GE Energy Management Services, Inc.
