- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/National Marine Fisheries Service intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Michael F. Tillman, Ph.D. to prepare for the annual meeting of the International Whaling Commission to be held in Italy July 13-22, 2004. Specifically the contractor will provide direct support to NOAA Fisheries Office of Protected Resources, the U.S. Commissioner to the International Whaling Commission, and others, to work on the following prospective areas. A. Bowhead Whales B. Revised Management Scheme C. Conservation Committee/Technical Committee D. Post-Annual Meeting Acting in accord with broad, general guidance from the US Commissioner, the contractor will prepare the products outlined in the statement of work, which will contribute to US initiatives prior to, during, and after the 2004 Annual IWC Meeting, as well as preparing for the annual meeting in 2005. These products may be revised in accord with the US Commissioner?s strategic/tactical needs. The products include deliverables in the areas of Bowhead Whales, Revised Management Scheme, Conservation Committee/Technical Committee, and Post-Annual meeting.
