Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Qty: 1 EA Integrated Wideband Air-Coupled Ultrasonic Drive-Receive System. System consists of: 2.2GHz P4 PXI Embedded Controller w/Windows XP; 1GB DDR RAM for embedded controller; 8 slot high performance PXI chassis w/integrated cooling; power cable for PXI chassis; 12-bit PXI arbitrary waveform generator w/16MB waveform memory; 2-channel, 100MHz PXI Digitizer; Ritec GA-2500 gated power amplifier; customer marker circuit for GA2500 trigger control (internal to GA2500); Ritec high-power output attenuator for impedance matching; custom low-noise coaxial cable-assembly package (5 cables in total); CAVE-I system control and measurement software (installed); system integration charge; and 16-bit 100MS/s PXI D/A waveform output generator. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Microacoustic Instruments, Inc., Ottawa Ontario, Canada. This item will be used in a research project funded by Code Q. The Integrated Wideband Air Coupled Ultrasonic Drive Receive System is designed by Microacoustic Instruments Inc. to work specifically with Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducers (cMUTs). The Auhority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May 17, 2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
