- This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis for a Drill Rig, platform based, powered by a liquid cooled industrial diesel engine. Power unit mounted on drill frame. Drill head 2 and 3/8 inches heavy-duty rotary type with hydraulic feed, 30inch stroke. Rotary has four (4) speeds forward and high-speed reverse. Equipped for Kelly Operation and pressure or weight feeding. Cathead will be of cast iron construction. Slush Pump 2-cylinder, double acting 4 inch (350 PSI) diameter and 5 inch stroke and capable of withstanding a working pressure of 450 lbs with (3 and ???? inch liners) with a test pressure of 800 pounds. Mast: made of seamless, tubular steel construction having 27 feet clearance above ground when in raised position. Gross c apacity of 30,000 pounds. Equipped with two (2) wire rope sheaves of not less than 10 inches nor greater than 16 inches in diameter and one (1) manila rope sheave mounted on oil impregnated bronze bearing. Drill Frame of very substantial all steel welded construction. Draw works: Double drum operated through friction clutches. Sandreel and hoist drum operated through manually operated mechanical clutches. Bare drum line pull on main hoist drum is 10,000 pounds at a line speed of 90 FPM. Hoist drum ca pacity is 525 feet of ???? inch line. Automatic Chuck for 2 and 3/8 inch Kelly installed on upper end of drive rod to apply weight hydraulically on the drilling bid. If you are a small business or 8a participant, will you be able to supply described drill rig manufactured by a small business? If so, what brand? The period for demonstrating interest for the proposed acquisition closes at 1:00 P.M. on May 14, 2004. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333132 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The requir ement will be procured on a firm fixed price basis.
