Description
The 374th Contracting Squadron, Yokota Air Base, Japan announces the acquisition of a Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) solicitation estimated for issuance o/a 07 May 2004. Proposals are solicited for a broad range of maintenance, repair and various levels of construction work at Yokota Air Base and Off-Base Sites (Tama Service Annex, Tokorozawa, Owada and Fuchu), all located on the Kanto Plain, Japan. Individual Task Orders will include tasks in a variety of trades such as: carpentry, roofing, excavating, interior and exterior electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, demolition, sheet metal, concrete masonry, and welding. The Government expects to award one Indefinite Delivery ? Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract to the offeror who provides the best value to the Government. The proposed contract will have a guaranteed minimum amount of Y20,000,000 (yen) for the life of the contract. The maximum unguaranteed amount for the life of the contract is Y2,500,000,000 (yen). The anticipated performance period will be Basic Period plus Four (4) one year Option Periods. The contract will include a wide variety of individual construction tasks as identified in the Unit Price Book (UPB). Individual jobs will vary in size and complexity. Task Orders will be priced using the UPB and coefficients. Each offeror will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, incidentals and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the projects. The government will provide space for a contractor?s field office upon the contractor?s request. Mobilization, set-up and connection to utilities are the responsibilities of the contractor. NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM WORK IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.
