Description
Software Architecture and Integration Products for the Graduate Flying Training, Training Management System (TMS) (AETC) MARKET SURVEY AND TRADE STUDY - Jacobs Sverdrup is conducting a market survey and trade study in conjunction with delivery order TO703BGF1441 awarded by the General Services Administration. This announcement constitutes a request for information (RFI) to support the market survey and trade study. Information contained in this synopsis is for planning purposes only. It does not constitute an invitation for sealed bid or request for proposal (RFP), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government is currently conducting a market survey and trade study of software architecture and integration products and services that can provide a robust, flexible, scalable service-oriented architecture for Air Force Graduate Flying Training (GFT) based on open standards. The architecture would be implemented incrementally, adapting existing systems to the architecture, removing intersystem dependencies, and eventually attaining true plug and play compatibility of components. A questionnaire soliciting information about specific software architecture and integration products and services will be provided for interested vendors to complete. Analysis of the questionnaire responses will include consideration of standards used, employment of data-centric and/or distributed-process architectures, use of data marts, data warehouses, message routers, adapters, and agents, and incorporation of business objects, firewalls, and security mechanisms. The GFT Training Management System (TMS) will apply technology to control the staggering amount of administrative and execution data generated by GFT operations. Understanding and using this information by leadership is necessary for efficient resource planning decisions at all organizational levels. The TMS will need to integrate a number of existing and future components to achieve its purpose. This announcement only concerns products and services that may be used to accomplish this integration and does not concern TMS applications that may be integrated into the service oriented architecture. No paper copies of information in this announcement will be provided. Businesses currently offering the same or similar services are requested to respond via email within 25 days after the posting date of this notice to pat.lawlis@jacobs.com (alternate POC is terry.courtheyn@jacobs.com). Potential Vendors may also email comments or questions to the same contact. All comments and questions must be in writing and must identify the company source, contact person, phone number, and e-mail address.
