- The Eastern Administrative Support Center, Norfolk, VA is soliciting prospective contractors to respond to Request for Quote No. EA133C-04-RQ-0102 for Building 1 Office Space construction at the Coastal Services Center, Charleston, SC. The existing lobby in Building 1 is to be converted to office space for approximately 3-4 people. The new office space is to be approximately 20'8" x 10'1". Walls will be connected to existing walls. The project includes: Removal of white 12" x 12" ceramic tile and installation of carpet to match existing; installation of a door from adjacent office into new office space; installation of 4 standard electrical outlets (2 outlets per drop) on interior and exterior 20'8" wall with connections to be made to existing breaker boxes; installation of 4 generator backup electrical outlets (2 outlets per drop) on interior and exterior 20'8" wall with connections to be made to existing breaker boxes; installation of 4 communication junction boxes (4 connections per box) on interior 20'8" wall with connection to be made to existing communications; installation of 4 communication junction boxes (r4 connections per box) on exterior 20'8" wall with connections to be made to existing communications; painting of interior wall of new office space to match existing; and wallpapering of exterior wall of new office space to match existing. Consideration shall be made to ensure lighting, HVAC, and fire protection is adequate for the new office space and adjacent existing area. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 237990, with a Size Standard of $28.5 million. This solicitation is issued on a restricted basis as a 100% set aside for small business concerns, and will be a firm fixed price contract. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about May 13, 2004. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are required to self-register their firm or office at this site to receive the solicitation. Amendments, if any, to this solicitation will be made available at this Internet site. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by this office. The work will be performed under a single contract estimated to be >25K and <$100K.
