- Description
- This is a synopsis for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12. Solicitation USSS040014 will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). This is a 100% small-business set aside. The primary NAICS code is 315211 and the small-business size standard is 500 employees. The United States Secret Service Uniform Division has a requirement for men’s and women’s uniform clothing to existing specifications including trousers, long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts. The contractor will be required to submit product samples for testing and evaluation. The contract period of performance will begin on or about April 2004 for a twelve- (12) month period with up to four- (4) one-year option periods for renewal. The Government intends to award a single, firm-fixed price contract to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable, and whose cost and technical merit, when combined, offer the best value to the Government. The estimated Solicitation issue date is 12 January 2004 at which point the Solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website. Firms interested in receiving a hard copy of the Solicitation must respond, in writing. No telephone requests for copies of the Solicitation will be accepted. See Numbered Note 1.
