- ***********************UPDATE***********************4/30/04 sOLICITATION RESPONSE DATE CHANGE TO 7 MAY 2004; ADDENDUM 3 ADDED; QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM SITE VISIT ATTACHED. *****UPDATE*****UPDATE*****UPDATE***** Amendment number 0001, 16 Apr 2004, and Addendum number 2, 14 April 2004, to solicitation FA8601-04-R-0018 are attached. *****UPDATE*****UPDATE*****UPDATE***** The solicitation number on the original synopsis was incorrect. The correct number is FA8601-04-R-0018. The response date has been changed to 05 May 04. To access the drawings, unzip all three drawing files, the last file (3 of 3), contains the MAXview reader. Open the MAXview reader to access the 56 drawings. *****END OF UPDATE***** The work consistes of the ability to provide for the renovation of the basement of Facility 20014. The scope of this project includes the renovation of ASC headquarters basement to improve office space to an acceptable standard and maximize efficient utilization of WWII era facilities. A major rework of the HVAC system (1960?s vintage) and upgrade of Fire and Life Safety systems to code compliance as well as cosmetic renovation is planned including new ceiling suspension systems, lighting fixtures, carpet and electrical/communication distribution systems and finishes. This includes hazardous material abatement of asbestos and lead paint. Project will be completed in two phases due to lack of temporary office space. Special requirements/concerns: This renovation will have a tight completion schedule with many security restrictions due to the location within a major headquarters facility. It is imperative for complete contractor coordination of all sub contractor work for timely completion of work within each phase. Existing occupants will have to relocate within vacated areas of basement while work continues in other sections. Contract will include maintaining temporary electrical and HVAC systems while installing new. Failure to comply with contract restrictions or to deliver a first class finished product will impact schedule of other planned renovations. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Period of performance is 330 calendar days. Phase I is 180 days, Work Suspension 30 days, Phase 2 is 120 days. Work suspension is not started until the completion of Phase I. Phase 2 is not started until the conclusion of the 30-day work suspension. NAICS CODE: 236220. The size standard $28.5M. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement in accordance with Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act of 1988, Public Law 100-656 (15 U.S.C. 644 note).
