Description
The Hefner VAMC, Salisbury, NC is seeking professional architect-engineer services to design a renovation of the Surgical Suite in Building 2, 4th Floor. This is not a request for proposal. This procurement is unrestricted; both large and small businesses may submit 254s/255s (two copies) to the below named Contracting Officer no later than 3 pm EDT, June 1, 2004. The procurement is restricted to firms located within a 150 mile radius of Salisbury (Rowan County) North Carolina. The selected firm shall provide all necessary labor, material, equipment and architectural and engineering services as required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimated through construction of the project. Work includes mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing and architectural. It is the intent of Hefner VAMC to require the A/E to fully survey, investigate and document the existing space and utility systems in order to gain the knowledge and insight necessary to prepare quality, accurate documents in a professional and competent manner. A recently completed study will be provided to the selected firm which analyzed the systems/conditions and will aid the A/E in developing unique, optimal proposals to achieve project objectives. Design shall be in accordance with all applicable requirements of VA construction standards, space criteria, NFPA, NEC, OSHA and local, state and federal regulations. Reviews at 25%, 75 and 99% are required. The 100% documents will be provided no later than 4/1/05. All construction documents are to be provided electronically in the current version of AutoCad and MS Word. The estimated construction budget is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. NAICS Codes 541310 and 541330 are applicable to this procurement. Award is subject to the availability of funding. Faxed copies will not be accepted.
