Description
The Maritime Surveillance Aircraft Group, PMA-290 of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) located at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland proposes to extend and place a class of orders under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00421-00-G-0143, with Rockwell International Corporation, Government Systems, 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498. The existing BOA was negotiated on a Sole Source basis with Rockwell International Corporation, Government Systems, in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This effort will consist of Sustaining Engineering Services in support of the MFD-255P Electronic Flight Displays interface, CP-255P Control Panel (EFDS System) interface and related avionics systems. Sustaining Engineering Services are to include: engineering analyses and feasibility studies, integration reports, analyses and testing to define and determine the magnitude of problems and recommend corrective action(s) inclusive of but not limited to non-recurring engineering, generation of engineering change proposals, inspection and procedural changes. The effort will also entail modification of software, integration of new software modules to support emerging operation requirements and the development of prototype hardware. The NAVAIRSYSCOM also intends to purchase prototype and production items which may arise from the aforementioned engineering efforts. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
