Description

In accordance with the procedures specified in the revised OMB Circular A-76 (Attachment B, B.1), dated May 29, 2003, this notification represents the formal public announcement and official start date of a streamlined competition on the mechanical operations and maintenance service commercial activity function performed at the General Services Administration (GSA) Public Building Services (PBS), Great Lakes Region, located at the field office in Chicago, Illinois. PBS provides for the Federal Government's real property needs by leasing, building and maintaining Federal office space. Government personnel consisting of 20 commercial activity FTEs represent the incumbent service provider located in Chicago, Illinois. The estimated work years will consist of a base year and four one year options. Prospective offerors are advised that a solicitation will not be issued if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance by Government personnel. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, NO SOLICITATION SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED, AND PROPOSALS ARE THEREFORE NOT REQUESTED. The designated Competitive Sourcing Office is, J. David Hood, Assistant Regional Administrator for the PBS. His point of contact is Dan Krudop. The responsible Contracting Officer is Toranda R.
