- SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, food and beverages, audio visual equipment, business center services, etc. of a qualified hotel in the Denver, Dallas or Philadelphia area for its Asset Management and Capital Markets Conference. The conference will be held during one of the following periods: October 4 - 8 or 25 - 29, 2004. The estimated number of sleeping rooms per night is 300. The meeting space requirements include, but are not limited to, general sessions for 150 and 350 classroom style, numerous breakout sessions for 30 to 75 classroom style, an office, technology center, registration/refreshment break area, and food and beverage events. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Hotel and Travel Index; Three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; Three diamonds or higher per AAA; or Two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel Guide. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about the middle of May, 2004, at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required by the hotel, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This is NOT a small business set-aside. It is a full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible hotels may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding the contract in July 2004. *****
