- Description
- This is a notice of intent by the Department of State to issue a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, to Cybernetics, 111 Cybernetics Way, Yorktown, Virginia 23693. Cybernetics, Inc. is expected to provide 180 AIT-2 50 GB internal native tape backup drives that are fully compatible with the hot-swappable (hot-plug) drive bays and backplane found in Hewlett-Packard?s DL380G3 server. The drives must include hot-swappable drive trays for mounting in HP drive bays, documentation, and a three year warranty. All interested and responsible sources shall respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical information literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements. Price data should be included. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirement. No telephone requests will be honored and messages will not be returned. Failure to submit documentation will result in the Government proceeding with negotiations. Responses must be received by 12:00 EST, May 4, 2004.
