- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) has a requirement for short term rental of vehicles in California. The actual number of vehicles may vary; the currant estimate is not to exceed 200. Types of vehicles needed are SUV?s (2 wheel drive) and or small trucks (2 wheel drive and with or without extended cabs). The solicitation, 024-M-APHIS-04, will be released on or about May 17, 2004. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES. The NAICS code is 532111 with a size standard of 21.5 million. All proposals shall have the solicitation number placed on the front of the proposal envelope.
