Description
1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested (RFQ) and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 238990.The National Center for Toxicological Research, Jefferson, AR is soliciting for on site Incinerator Repairs. SCOPE OF WORK- The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and transportation to perform all repairs. Work includes (1) replacement of secondary burner (2)upgrade of controls to insure compliance with state permit (3)replace the incinerator master control panel (MCP), (4) Add limit switches on ash pushers, (5) Change thermocouple type to K type, (6) Change location of secondary thermocouple to the exit of the secondary chamber, (7) Add thermocouple to the top load feeder gate enclosure for monitoring purposes, (8) Add pressure transmitters to the top load feeder gate enclosure and to the primary chamber for monitoring purposes, (9) Provide new Allen Bradley software for MCP, (10) Provide project start up and training. FOB Destination within 90 days after award of a purchase order. Interested offeror’s shall submit a descriptive literature along with their cost quotation. Award will made to the vendor who submits the lowest price system that meets all technical specifications. The Government may make its decision on the basis of initial quotations received and not have discussions. Therefore each initial quotation should contain the offeror’s best terms from both a price and technical standpoint. This is Request for Quotations(RFQ). APPLICABILITY OF FAR PROVISIONS: the following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by references.
