- Description
- Request for Proposal (RFP)for testing and maintenance of various dry chemical (7 systems), wet chemical (9 systems), Halon (8 systems), and clean agent (3 systems) fire extinquishing systems. Commercial acquisition procedures apply. Base period of performance from date of award through 30 September 04 with provisions for 4 - one year option periods. This acquisition is 100% setaside for small business. The NAICS code is 541380 and the related small business size standard is $10M. Proposals will be evaluated to determine which offer provides the best value to the government based on the offeror's price and record of experience and past performance in inspecting and maintaining similar systems. An award may be made to other than the low offeror. Offerors are advised that an award may be made without discussions or without any contact concerning the proposal received. Therefore, proposals should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms. The solicitation will be provided for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at Http://esol.navfac.navy.mil or or about 22 April 2004. Amendments and notices will be posted to the web site solicitation. It is the offeror's responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments and notices to this solicitation. Estimated closing for the proposals is 1400 local time, 12 May 2004.
