Description

DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F33RTS41100100 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-22, Effective 05 Apr 2004. The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order resulting from this solicitation. The NAICS code is 334220 and the size standard is 750 employees. The requirement is for Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) 2000 gear as follows: Item 0001: M-16A2/M4 Individual Weapon System (IWS) Kit, 40 ea. Item 0002: M-240 Machine Gun Kit, 4 ea. Item 0102: M-249 IWS Kits, 6 ea. I encourage vendors/contractors to submit information and pricing on newer MILES technology to include MCC97 compatibility. The required date of delivery is NLT 19 May 2004. The place of delivery is 96 GCTS, 310 West Van Matre Ave, Ste 176, Eglin AFB, FL 32542. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, does not apply to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, is not applicable to this solicitation. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with your offer. Offerors are advised to include Alternate I (Apr 2002) and Alternate II (Oct 2000). The provision at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. In addition, the following clauses cited at 52.212-5 are applicable to this acquisition: 52.225-1, Buy American Act—Supplies (JUNE 2003)(41 U.S.C. 10a-10d). 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer—Central Contractor Registration (OCT 2003) (31 U.S.C. 3332) The clause at 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program (APR 2003)(41 U.S.C. 10a-10d, E.O. 10582) is applicable to this acquisition.
