- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS - AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation number is M67854-04-R-9024 and this solicitation number is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found in FAR Part 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2001-20). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611420 however, this RFQ is unrestricted. *** The Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory’s (MCWL’s), Wargaming Division (WGD) is tasked with supporting the upcoming Sea Viking War game, which are highly visible war games within the United States Marine Corps. New requirements in such games have created a need for wireless network equipment. Future war games will also require these technologies and will be implemented into all unclassified games. The robust design of the Sea Viking war game requires a large, powerful Local Area Network (LAN) set-up. * * * This Request for Proposal (RFQ) is for two servers, hardened cases for the transportation of those servers, Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) for the servers, and wireless networking equipment for the client machines. ***All interested offerors shall provide a quote for the following line items: Line Item 0001: Quantity 2 Each, Hardened Case With Server Rack. Note: Case must have handles, casters, and fit all server/ equipment Line Item 0002: Quantity 30 Each, 802.11g Cisco 1200 Wireless Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Cards. Line Item 0003: Quantity 30 Each, 802.11g Cisco 1200 Wireless PCMCIA Notebook Cards. Line Item 0004: Quantity 18 Each, 802.11g Cisco 1200 Wireless Access Points.Note: Require all power cords and equipment necessary for maximum bandwidth/range. Line Item 0005: Quantity 1 Each, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) for Servers And Accessories for 15 –30 minutes uptime. Line Item 0006: Quantity 2 Each, Entry Level Server, Commercial, 19” 2U Rack-Optimized Chassis. Capable of supporting 100 - 400 users. Minimum requirements: Dual 2.8 Gigahertz (GHz) Xeon processors, - 1 Gigabyte (GB) Error Correcting Code (ECC) Double Data Rate (DDR) Random Access Memory (RAM), - RAID Controller, - SCSI Controller, Floppy Drive, - Digital Versatile Disk – Read Only Memory (DVD-ROM), - Dual Power Supplies, - 400 Megahertz (MHz) bus, - 10/100/1000 Full Duplex Network Interface Card (NIC), - Rack Mounting Kit (Rails), - 512 Kilobyte (KB) level 2 Advance Transfer Cache, and- 3 72.8 GB 15K Hot-Plug Removable RPM Hard Drives. Line Item 0007: Quantity 30 Each, Additional Un-installed Hot-Plug 72.8GB 15K RPM SCSI Hard Drives. NOTE: Must have hardware to have hot-plug capability pre-installed onto drive. Line Item 0008: Quantity 2 Each, Not To Exceed 2U 14-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) With Retractable Drawer For 19-inch Rack With Mounting Kit. Integrated Plug-N-Play Keyboard and Optical Mouse Or Trackball. Line item 0009: Quantity 2 Each, Internal With Controller And Connecting Cable Pre-installed DDS-4 Tape Drive. Line Item 0010: Quantity 2 Each, 19-inch Rack-Mountable Disk Storage Array With One Quad-Channel Wide-Ultra-SCSI-3 (160 Mbs) RAID Controller, Installed, Supporting RAID 0,1,and 5. Minimum 10 Hot-Plug Media Bays. 5 72.8GB 15K RPM Drives reinstalled. NOTE: Include all hardware (rack-mount kit), cables, software, and manuals. Line Item 0011: Quantity 2 Each, 19-inch Rack-Mount Keyboard, Video, And Mouse Switch (KVM) With Mounting Kit: 1u Height, Auto Switching, 8 Port And 1 Management Port; Dual PS/2 (keyboard/mouse), and HD15 (monitor). Line Item 0012: Quantity 2 Each, 3-Year On-Call Technical Support with the Continental United States (CONUS). Available 365 days per year with a four-hour response time.* * * The contractor shall state the warranty coverage provided for all line items if applicable. ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination. ***Award shall be made to the offeror whose quote offers the best value to the Government with price and the aforementioned specifications stated above.
