- Description
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is currently using Grimes Part Number G6250-5 Hover/Landing Light on the HH65 Dauphin helicopter fleet of 95 aircraft. A retrofit is required to replace these aging lights, and to convert them to Infrared (IR) capability. The USCG is seeking sources for this retrofit. The following material requirements apply: Application – Dual Mode Three Filament; Size (Approximate) – 12.1”x6.5”x4.2”; Input Power – Visible: 28 VDC 400 Watt Maximum IR: 200 Watt (at least); Lamp Size – 3 – 200 Watt T-3 Halogen; Extend Angle – 1 to 120 degrees; Rotate Angle – 360 degrees continuous; Maximum Operating Speed – 150 knots; Weight (Approximate) – 6.75 lbs.; and Light Output – 200,000 Candle power (VIS) 10 NRI (Typical). Note: The model offered should be a sealed unit to be waterproof and to inhibit corrosion.
