- Description
- This solicitation is to be issued as a Sole Source requirement to provide Micro-hard layer (0.01 inch thick coupons) propellant testing on the MK 104 sustain grain slot and bulb tip coupons. Both mechanical and chemical properties will be obtained. Chemical testing will consist of fine scale measurements of propellant plasticizer, anti-oxidant, catocene, liner curative, cross-link density, and extractable components. Tensile tests will be performed to measure tensile strength and relaxation modulus. A limited number of full size bulk tensile coupons will be tested to document size bias. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued to ATK Thiokol located at Brigham City, Utah 84302. It is anticipated that the award will be firm fixed price. Approximate release date of this RFQ is 11 May 2004. The FSC code is R425, the NAIC is 541330, and the size standard is $23 million .
