- Description
- FISC Norfolk Det. Philadelphia intends to solicit on a full and open competition basis as a commercial items acquisition effort as outlined under FAR part 12 and FAR part 13.5 for a 1.5 tesla mobile MRI unit, related equipment, supplies and personnel to perform the required services four days per week in support of Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA. Services will be required 12 hours a day from Tuesday thur Friday starting at 8:00 AM. A sample of the scans the mobile system include but will not be limited to studies of the head, cervical spine, thoracis spine, lumbar spine, dedicated knee, extremity (small parts), helm holz neck, body coil for pelvic imaging and shoulder. Subject requirement will be staffed by MRI technologist (s) who hold current certification as such from the ARRT and who also hold current certification in BLS. The period of performance for this requirement will consist of a base period starting 1 July 04 thur 30 September 04 and will have up to four one year option periods and one nine month option period. It is anticipated that the vendor will be authorized to leave the mobile unit in place while performing services and over the weekends during the POP. A firm fixed price commercial items contract is the expected result of this acquisition effort. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 621512. The RFP will be issued on or around the week of 10 May 04, and will be posted to the Navy Electronic Commerce Office @ WWW.NECO.Navy.Mil upon its release.
