- Description
- The work involves excavation near the toe of the dams to replace toe-drain outlet structures. Excavation will be depths of approximately 20 feet at Fresno Dam and about 12-15 feet at Tiber Dam. Dewatering sand unwatering of the excavation areas at each dam will be required. Each sump will contain two separate weirs and provide for measurements of individual toe-drain line discharge. The toe-drains will contain a pump system and electrical supply housed in a prefabricated concrete building placed over the sump. It is likely that saturated conditions will be encountered at Fresno Dam, requiring dewatering. The location of Tiber Dam is approximately 10 miles south of the dam crest road. The location of the Fresno Dam is approximately 10 miles west of Havre, Montana in Hill County. The drain location is approximately 600 feet southeast of the dam crest road. Price range of the project is $100,000-$250,000. Solicitation package are available for issuance (4/22/04) and proposal are anticipated to be due on or around May 24, 2004. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP). All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. North American Industry Classification System code is 234990.
