Description
The work consists of the following: 1) Furnishing and installing a new 13.8-kV overhead power line from the Yellowtail Switchyard to the Yellowtail Afterbay Dam, a distance of approximately 2-1/2 miles. The majority of this work involves installing new overhead power lines and associated power poles; however, a portion of the installation requires some underground work in the switchyard and at the afterbay dam. 2) Removing the afterbay dam's existing 112-kV pad-mount transformer; and furnishing and installing a new 122-kV step-up type, pad-mount transformer that will provide black start capability from the afterbay dam's existing 275-kW standby generator to the 13.8-kV switchyard lines. 3) Removing the afterbay dam's existing transfer switch and associated circuit breaker; and furnishing and installing a new manually operated transfer switch and associated circuit breaker to backfeed power from the afterbay dam's existing 275-kW standby generator to the 13.8-kV switchyard bus. 4) Removing the existing afterbay dam's 12.7-kV Maximum Continuous Operating Voltage (MCOV) arresters with a new 15.3-kV MCOV, 18-kV Temporary Overvoltage (TOV) arresters. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available on or around May 28, 2004 and bids are tentatively due in the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana 59101 on or before 2:00 pm on June 29, 2004. All responsible HUBZone sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This acquisition is a HUBZone set-aside. The North American Classification System Code is 237130. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1731. The Small Business Size Standard is $28.5 Million. To receive a copy of this IFB, contractors shall fax a request to the Bureau of Reclamation, Attention: Andy Fox or Hart Blackeagle at (406) 247-7798. The fax must include the contractor's name, address, phone/fax number, federal tax identification number and their Dunn and Bradstreet number. Vendors are required to register in CCR prior to the award of a contract.
