Item Description: FILTER, GEARBOX The cited drawing is a source controlled drawing only the source(s) cited on the drawing have been approved. Even though sources and approved part numbers are provided, the items furnished must be meet the requirements of the cited drawing. Offerors who are interested in qualifying their product for purpose of future acquisition must contact the cognizant design activity specified on the source-controlled drawing. Also, may include additional approved sources that have not been reflected on the drawing at this time. Drawing cited is subject to export-control regulations and distribution is limited to those contractors qualified to receive restricted drawings as listed on the Certified contractors Access List (CCAL). Procurement of this item is restricted to go on ?source controlled drawing?. Quantity is based on Quarterly Forecast Demand of 164 each unit of issue. Destination Information is based on indefinite quantities, deliverable at various locations. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. See note(s): 9, 26. The subjected requirement is for the acquisition of NSN 2940-01-098-6794. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intend to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available and subjected to Export-control regulations and distribution. The solicitation will be available on its issue date of April 30, 2004 at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. The Small Business size standard is 1000 employees. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon on combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This is an unrestricted set-aside.
