Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) – SOURCES SOUGHT The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is performing market research in preparation for issuing a solicitation for Primary Care Medical Services in the Superior, Wisconsin Area. This is not a solicitation and the VAMC does not intend to award a contract based on information received from this RFI, but intends to obtain delivery, capability and source information for planning purposes. The VAMC has been directed by Congress to improve access to healthcare for veterans by making primary care medical services available to them in their communities. This initiative is referred to as the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) program. In order to improve access to primary medical care for veterans, the VAMC located in Minneapolis, MN is evaluating the availability of services currently existing with in the community to provide primary medical care for veterans residing in and around Superior, WI. To maintain continuity of care for the veteran, the access and quality of services provided by the contractor are to be comparable to primary care services provided to veterans seen at the VAMC. The Minneapolis VAMC currently has approximately 5000 patients enrolled and receiving Primary Care Services at Twin Ports Outpatient Clinic; Superior, WI generating an estimated 15,000 primary care clinic visits a year.
