- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Rehabilitation of Indian Boundary Recreation Area Loops A and D, Tellico Ranger District, Tellico Plains, TN, in Cherokee National Forest. Contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and incidentals necessary to rehabilitate 25 campsites in Loop A and 17 campsites in Loop D requiring some excavation and fill, placement of 6?x 6? timber borders, grading, compacting, surface stone placement, removal of existing concrete picnic tables, and approx. 4000 sq.ft of asphalt paving. Project includes replacement of approx. 1250 LF of 4? water lines, 530 LF of 3? water lines, 2340 LF of 2? water lines, and 600 LF of 1? water lines. Includes installation of 8 water hydrants, installation of approx. 6710 LF of 1? dia. PVC conduit for installation of approx. 22,155 LF of electrical conductors (#12 to 3/0), and installation/connection of 43 govt.-furnished electrical RV pedestals. Includes installation of 750 gallon septic tank and wastewater line. If funds are available, contractor shall install 3 ? 3000 gallon concrete tanks for increasing reservoir capacity and construct a 236 sq. ft. administration building and two adjoining RV sites. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $500,000 and $1,000,000. PROJECT LOCATION: From Tellico Plains, TN, take Rt. 165 (Cherohala Skyway) east toward Robbinsville, NC. Travel approximately 16 miles on Rt. 165. Turn left on Forest Service Road #345 to Indian Boundary Campground. Travel approximately 1.5 miles and follow signs into Indian Boundary Campground. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation, R8040421, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as an Invitation for Bid and will be available for downloading on or about May 7, 2004 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ A pre-bid visit date will be included in the solicitation. All vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ A handbook and other information are available at the site, including information on obtaining a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process.
