- The purpose of this solicitation is to secure the maintenance and repair of Towr Point and Pisgah Lookout Towers on the Lookout Mountain Ranger District of the Ochoco National Forest. Work will include reconstruction of the catwalk guardrails, installation of new lightning protection systems, and installation of new gas lines. Replacement of the lookout tower roofs will be considered as an option item. Project area Tower Point is in the Maury Mtns. approximately 35 miles SE of Prineville, Oregon. Pisgah Lookout is approximately 40 miles ENE of Prineville. Price Range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This project is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Estimated start work date is July 30, 2004. Contract time is 120 days approximate. This solicitation will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov on May 13, 2004. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available.
