Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, H92244-04-Q-0045 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) assigned rating for this procurement is DO. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-18. This procurement is restricted to small business set-aside. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. NAICS Code 423910 size standards 100 employees or under. This synopsis/solicitation is for COMMERCIAL ITEMS. CLIN 0001: Engine, Marine, Diesel, Caterpillar; Qty: 2 each; P/N Model C-12 rated 700BHP @ 2300 RPM; Engines are to be arranged for heat exchanger cooling and 12 volt electronics; Engine packages are to include the following items: a) Filter arrangement; b) 12 volt 105 amp belt driven alternators; c) throttle position sensors; d) 8" stainless steel water cooled elbows; e) fuel coolers; f) transmission oil coolers; g) digital/electronic pilot house instrument panel (caterpillar marine power display time); h) 12/24 volt dc converter (required for 12 vdc system); i) manual sump pump; j) lube oil; k) 12 volt electric starter and engine mounted switch; l) jacket water heater; m) front crankshaft guard; n) vibration isolators (4 each); o) flocs oil pump out lines; CLIN FOB POINT IS VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. DELIVERY IS 120 DAYS AFTER DATE OF CONTRACT AWARD. Solicitation Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items (Oct 2003) is hereby incorporated by reference.
