Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. This requirement will be negotiated solely with INSYNC Peripherals Corporation, 22951 La Cadena, Laguna Hills, CA 92653-1711. The contractor shall provide 15 each Custom Transflective Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Panels with Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatibility. Delivery of 2 each on or before 15 June 2004, 7 each on or before 10 July 2004 and 6 each on or before 10 August 2004. The time of delivery is required to meet U. S. Navy Fleet schedules. The capabilities of this system shall include: being ruggedized, marinized, packaged effectively and reliably to operate in high sea states; endure high schock and vibration; NVIS compatibility for night time viewing to provide light output for night vision goggle application; has transflective enhancements for sunlight readability during direct sunlight viewing; panel enhancement must have minimal light loss; color and light uniformity accomplished with a transflective layer and cover glass that is laminated onto the LCD to protect the panel face; operates within strigent and harsh environmental conditions particularly within an ambient temperature range of ?40 degrees C to + 55 degrees C; and must be able to offer a high dimming ratio utilizing a dimming technique where the most optimum and efficent operation can be accomplish ed.
