Description

The work to be performed consists of the following: 1) Designing, manufacturing, furnishing, delivering and installing two replacement digital-electronic pump-turbine governors and appurtenant parts for the hydraulic turbines: 2) Rehabilitation of the existing unit servomotor seals, rings and packing; and 3) Rehabilitation of the existing governor accumulator pressure tanks. The work is located at the Mt. Elbert Pumped-Storage Powerplant, located approximately 13 miles southwest of Leadville, in Lake County, Colorado. The time and date for receipt of proposals is tentatively scheduled for June 21, 2004, 4:00 PM at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. The solicitation packages will be available on or around May 20, 2004. The estimated price range of this acquisition is $500,000 to $1,000,000. There is no charge for the first copy; additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 per set. All reasonable sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 335312. The small business size standard is 1,000 Employees. This acquisition is unrestricted. This specifications and drawings will be not posted to the internet; however a complete solicitation package is available in hard copy. To request a hard copy of the solicitation, contractors must fax a request to (406) 247-7798, Attn: Hart BlackEagle. The request must include contractor's name, address, phone/fax numbers, tax identification number and their Dun and Bradstreet number. Note: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration.
