- Description
- 319 CONS, Grand Forks AFB, ND seeks potential sources capable of performing the following services: Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, supplies, and supervision necessary for reconstruction of Grand Forks AFB runway. The work will include but is not limited to reducing the overall runway width from 300 feet to 150 feet while relocating the existing offset crown to the center of the runway. The finished runway will be 150 feet wide by 10,350 feet long with the existing concrete runway being rubbleized for a subbase, crushed aggregate base and an asphalt surface. The 1000 foot end sections will be repaired and have concrete surfaces and the 1000 foot overruns will be asphalt. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract with a magnitude of $10M to $25M. Performance will begin the summer of 2005. Tentative solicitation release date is 1 Jul 04. A presolictitation notice will be issued at least 15 days prior to actual release date. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 237310, Paving Construction Contractors with a size standard of $28,500,000. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT TO IDENTIFY POTENTIAL OFFERORS AND CONSIDER POSSIBLE SET-ASIDE IF AND WHEN A SOLICITATION IS DEVELOPED. Potential offerors are invited to submit statements of capabilities outlining past work that is strongly related to the requirements listed in this synopsis. Identify the management and technical personnel in your company available for contract effort. Along with the statement of capabilities, identify any government or commercial contracts held within the last three years that are similar in complexity and magnitude, providing points of contacts, telephone numbers and specific information regarding the contract(s) to enable collection of past performance information. Also provide business status and size. The respondent?s performance history, capabilities and the specific business sector will be used to determine if the project will be restricted by set-aside. The set-aside consideration will use the following order of preference: HUBZone 8(a), Other 8(a), HUBZone Set-Aside (Competitive), Open Competition with Evaluation Preference, Open Competition.
