Description

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive from potential suppliers who can supply various abrasives. This will be completed under a Request for Proposal, negotiated, requirement type of solicitation. Abrasives are to be delivered FOB destination to FCI Florence, CO. The SOL Number is FN1190-04. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate proposals and award on a all or none basis. Individual line items, the description, the estimated quantities and the unit of issue of items being solicited are as follows: 0001 (ABR0421) sand paper belt, 150 grit, 6"X23' garnet cloth, open, X-WT - 30 each, 0002 (ABR0404) sand paper belt, 120 grit, 36"X75' garnet cloth, open, X-WT - 35 each, 0003 (ABR0405) sand paper belt, 100 grit, 36"X75" garnet cloth, X-WT - 35 each, 0004 (ABR0408) sand paper belt, 60 grit, 6"X168" garnet cloth X-WT - 150 each, 0005 (ABR0185) sanding disc, 150 grit, Almn-ox, paper/ADH, A-WT, 5 inches, No holes - 175,000 each and 0006 (ABR0433) sanding disc, 280 grit, Almn-ox, A-WT, 5 inches, No holes - 3,000 each. The minimum order per items requirement is $50.00, maximum order is per items $2,500. Variation in quantity is +/- 5 %. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: past performance, specifications and price. The time for receipt of proposals is 14:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time), on May 09, 2004. The delivery performance period is for 5 years. A economic price adjustment provision is included. The delivery is14 days after receipt of each delivery order. Vendors may federal express, mailed, facsimile or hand carried proposal to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., (FPI), Office Furniture Group, 320 First Street, NW, Washington, DC 20534, Attn: Bid Custodian. All proposal must reference the solicitation number and due date for receipt of proposals. In addition to this, each proposal must contained the name, address, telephone number of offeror, technical description of item offered, any discount terms that are offered and the remittance address (if different from current mailing address). Offeror must hold unit prices firm in its offer for 90 calendar days from date specified for receipt. If offer is not submitted on a SF1449, submit on company letterhead with a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provision included in the solicitation. All offers that fail to furnish required representations and certification or information and/or reject terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3291 and the small business size standard is 500. The NACIS code is 332999. The Identification Number-- Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number must be cited in your proposal.
