- Description
- Project: Systems Engineering Support for Development of the GEIA 859 Handbook. Synopsis: The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (OUSD (AT&L)) intends to procure the services of Millennium Data Management Inc. of Huntsville, AL for the development of the GEIA 859 Handbook. The contractor shall provide the subject matter expertise necessary to assist the Director, Systems Engineering, OUSD (AT&L)/Defense Systems in working with the Services and industry to: (1) institutionalize the ongoing positive changes in Data Management, de-emphasize and/or eliminate those that are obsolescent, and accelerate related organizational learning; and (2) develop a data management handbook - GEIA HDBK 859. In particular, the contractor shall provide a co-leader for the GEIA G-33 Data Management panel, which will be responsible for development of the handbook. Knowledge of, and participation in, the Government Electronics & Information Technology Association (GEIA) is a critical criteria for award of this effort. The Government intends to make a Time & Materials award on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within the closing date of the RFP will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
