- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service has a need for the disposal/shredding of sensitive and non-sensitive non-hazardous trash for various posts of duty (POD's) located in the North Florida Area. Contractor will be required to pick-up and dispose all trash collected from 19 various locations in the North Florida area, to include the cities of Jacksonville, Holly Hill, Gainesville, Ocala, Lakeland, Maitland, Melbourne, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Panama City, Pensacola, and Tallahassee. The contractor is required to provide all management, supervision, labor, equipment, supplies and any other items necessary to pick-up (on a weekly basis) and destroy at a minimum 50,000 pounds of material per year. It is required that all IRS sensitive and non-sensitive documents be destroyed in one of the following methods: (1) Shredding to effect 5/16th inch wide or smaller strips; (2) Pulping of all material, reduction to particles one inch or smaller; (3) Disintegrating to 1/2 inch or smaller screen; or (4) Burning to effect of complete incineration. The contract term is expected to cover a base period (January 1, 2003 through September 30, 2003), plus four 12-month renewal option periods. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The associated NAICS Code is 562111, and the small business size standard is $18.5 million. The solicitation is expected to be available on or about September 17, 2002, and will be posted on the Internet at www.procurement.irs.treas.gov.
