- This modification changes the NAICS Code of this announcement to 541990. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with University of California, Santa Cruz for the office of National Marine Fisheries Service located in Santa Cruz, CA. The purpose of proposed contract is for research study titled, Age-related Maternal Effects on Larval Quality in Rockfish, IV. The vendor shall design, set up and maintain algae cultures, rotifer cultures, capture and maintenance of gravid female rockfish and develop a growth and survival experiments with developing larvae. This research study is a continuation of research project on rockfish that started since 1993 and specifically on the effects of maternal age on offspring growth and survival since 1997, having reared larvae from black rockfish of different ages under different food conditions precisely the type of research proposed for this contract, the contractor has been identified to be the only source who can complete the work under proposed contract. This notice may represent the only official notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00.****The Western Administrative Support Center, Acquisition Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov.
