Description

MRI of the Brain Non-Contrast Study in support of former Prisoners of War (POW) requirements are as follows: 0001 MRI services are required to provide 100 NONCONTRAST MIR?s , each study is to be read by a radiologist, and a copy of the actual film be provided to the Robert I. Mitchell Center for POW Studies, located at NAS Pensacola, Florida. A global rate (MRI services plus professional services) is requested. A radiologist must be on duty at the location (not just on call) during the MRI process and the facility offering service must be within the Pensacola, FL. area since this is where the patients will be during their physical exams. The purpose of the studies is primarily clinical, (diagnosis of cortical atrophy), but also research, as the former POWs have been subjected to horrendous physical and mental conditions over extended period; i.e., 5 to 7 years.
